How to use RSS feeds to Save Time and Keep Up.

One of the best ways to keep on top of any topic is to start using RSS* feeds with Google Reader,

*Really Simple Syndication is a tool you can use to have information sent to you from the websites that you visit that have updated content, rather than having to go track that content down. Many Web sites, including Webconsuls, offer RSS as a way to have that information delivered directly to you.

Watch the above vid for a Really Simple Explanation of Using Really Simple Syndication.

  1. Very informative. For those of you that are watching this video, this information will soon become (if it hasn't already) common knowledge with the internet moving towards Blogs and Feeds.

  2. For nerds like us I am sure RSS feeds, feedreaders and even Twitter are common knowledge. What I really like about these walkthru's on Youtube is that I can send them to my Mom and she can fully get them. Is your Mom on Twitter? Is your Dad keeping up on his favorite sports teams using RSS and XML? Prolly not, and I think it is way fun to teach them how to use these tools, the stuff they find will amaze you.
